Villa Camelia

Villa Camelia is situated on a hilltop overlooking Lake Como and occupies the site of an ancient medieval watchtower. This position gives it one of the most beautiful views in Europe. This splendid three-storey villa, with its Art Nouveau style, was built in 1909 and has been completely restored to a very high standard in its 1231 sqm.

It is a three-level villa where comfortably sleep 14 people. Moreover additional children beds are available. All the bedroom suites are designed in a contemporary and stylish manner in keeping with the villa’s elegant features. An elevator links the 3 main floors and the caretakers apartment and laundry in the basement.

It is composed by eight elegant double bedrooms (six ensuite), a well-finished drawing room, a beautiful living room, a big dining room, a fully-equipped kitchen, a comfortable study and a media room, a bar with all the accessories and a wonderful pool with the pool house.

Villa Camelia has no neighbours thanks to its ancient strategic position located 881 metres above the lake. It is the perfect oasis of calm. It has infinity gardens of 4.5 acres.

The panorama offers a stunning combination between the blue Como Lake and green Pre-Alps mountains: here you could enjoy spectacular golden sunsets.

First Floor

On the first floor of Villa Camelia there are three sunny double bedrooms.

The White Suite is in front of the lake and is joined to the East facing Rose Suite by a large shared bathroom. Both suites have balconies enjoying lake views.

The Yellow Suite has a large lovely bathroom and a balcony to enjoy the mountain views and the sunsets.

Second Floor

On the second floor you can find four stunning double bedrooms.

This floor mirrors has the same layout of the first floor, including the balconies and terraces. The large Sinensis Suite enjoys a southern view over the lake. The Japonica Suite shares a large bathroom with the Sasanqua Suite which looks East. The Caudata Suite enjoys the mountain views to the north.

Third Floor

This amazing open space provides a number of different entertainment areas. There are two large seating areas for your special entertainment moments with a TV, projector, music system and board games. Additionally, there is a pool table, kitchenette and w.c.

From this floor you can access to two spectacular roof terraces. One of these has also an attractive island bar.

On this floor there is a double bedroom, the Oleifera Suite, with en-suite at the tallest point of the house: it enjoys wonderful light and stunning views from huge double windows on two sides.

OUTDOOR

The villa’s main surround terrace, the extraordinary pool house, with all the full-length windows and its green roof, and a wonderful pool with Jacuzzi are the peculiarity of this property. Seems to float over the pool!

The pool house has also a kitchen, a fabulous island bar and comfortable seating area. Here there is an attractive dining room within the villa and alfresco dining under a pergola on the huge terrace in front of the lake. There is also a changing room and toilet carved into the rock-face.

The pool has a lot of sunbathing spots around.

A stunning covered yoga/wellness room carved out of the cliff includes an area for gym equipment from Technogym. This includes the Kinesis cable weight training system, a rowing machine, an exercise bike, dumbbells, stretch bands and exercise balls. This room also benefits from an ensuite toilet, steam room and shower.
