Stragusto in Trapani 2013: the festival of street food is back
June 21, 2013Once again this year Stragusto will be held in Trapani, in Piazza Mercato del Pesce. Now in its fifth edition, the festival of street food of the Mediterranean is expected in the Sicilian province from 25 to 28 July 2013.
The event is dedicated to all fans of street food, which in Mediterranean countries, and particularly in Sicily, is a practice now widespread, based on the preparation, exhibition and sale of food in the streets, markets and squares by street vendors.
There will be many specialties, from Sicily and not, that guests of Stragusto can taste and enjoy during a delicious itinerary, that will make Trapani a real capital of taste for four days. The program also includes workshops and meetings of multi-cuisine food traditions of the Mediterranean, as well as business information and disclosure.
In the stands that will be set in the beautiful location of Piazza Mercato del Pesce, tourists and fans will get to know the poor Sicilian cuisine and ones of other Mediterranean countries too, comparing recipes, traditions and flavors.
Entrance to the festival is free, but the food and drinks are extra.
