This three-level house boasts an extraordinarily panoramic position and is close to ancient villages that will make you fall in love with their narrow streets, small restaurants and trattorias, and picturesque corners. And its design perfectly blends with the surroundings: traditional elements such as thick stone walls, terracotta tiled flooring and exposed wooden beams mix with a contemporary feeling, making you feel immersed in a timeless atmosphere.
Casa Athena’s interior design was approached with extreme care and respect for the area’s historical settings through the renovation of a 100-year-old cottage. Special attention was paid to eco-sustainability: there are no fossil fuels to power the house, which uses photovoltaic panels to generate its energy. Solar thermal panels heat the water used for bathing and cooking, and a large cistern collects rainwater to irrigate the lawn. During especially dry summers, a well provides all the necessary water supply.
Furnished with custom-made furnishings and modern amenities such as wireless internet and an advanced conditioning system, Casa Athena is a secluded zen retreat that exudes serenity. You will relax in its heated outdoor pool with deck loungers and umbrellas, take in the breathtaking view of the valley, and enjoy hours outdoors in the property’s olive groves in complete privacy (the estate’s outdoors extends on 2,8 acres!). Indoors, the rooms are well-thought, organized, spacious and comfortable: the large living room, the luminous dining area with a unique view of the garden, the perfectly equipped eat-in kitchen, the vast terraces occupying around 200 square meters.
Casa Athena can accommodate up to six people in its 310 square meters indoor spaces. It includes three main bedrooms and, during summer, one extra bedroom without a cooling system if you’re willing to bring two additional friends.
