Even in winter, Italy is the perfect choice for your vacations. In fact, there are many destinations for whoever wants to plan a winter trip in this country. Many solutions can satisfy all tastes, even for the more demanding tourists. For snow and winter sports lovers, there are many destinations in Italy to choose from. The spectacular Dolomites in Trentino Alto Adige are definitely worth a visit, like other Italian localities renowned for luxury tourism: Courmayeur and Cervinia in Valle d’Aosta, Sestriere in Piedmont, Aprica in Lombardy, Cortina d’Ampezzo in Veneto. In this destinations, everyone can enjoy a holiday by skiing and doing the most exclusive shopping. For the people who prefer ,instead, the traditional Christmas local markets there are many Italian cities where to find them: for example Bolzano, Trento, Merano, Brunico, Bressanone and Vipiteno.

 

Those preferring to relax in thermal baths or in a beauty spa, can choose some of the most renowned Italian sites for the taking care of the body and the people’s wellness. Tourists can find these exclusive destinations in the mountain or in some cities all over Italy: Bormio or Sirmione (Lombardy), Saint-Vincent (Valle d’Aosta), Chianciano and Montepulciano (Tuscany), Ischia (Campania) or Abano Terme (Veneto).

 

Finally, even for those who appreciate Italian food, there are some top destinations for winter. For example in Valtellina (Lombardy), where during the winter season it is perfect to try pizzoccheri (typical pasta of this area), speck and local cheese. In Mantova, instead, it is possible to taste pumpkins in an event taking place until December 8 and involving all the agritourisms in this area. In cities and villages of Trentino Alto Adige, you can try traditional dishes like canederli matched with local wines.
