It’s time for Cibus: the International Food Exhibition reaches its 19th edition

Cibus starts today in Parma: the 19th edition of the International Food Exhibition will welcome 3100 Italian exhibiting companies covering 135 thousands square meters. Visitors will have the chance to experience over 1300 new products while over 80,000 operators and buyers are expected to take part in the fair. At least 20% of them will come from abroad.

The entire Italian agri-food chain is ready to show off in 2018, that has been declared by the Government “the year of Italian food”: the traditional, renowned event in Parma will be a perfect occasion to explore the diversity, complexity and excellence of a real culture that has always defined Italy.

Those who are not only interested in the exhibitors will also have the chance to enjoy dozens of conferences and workshops that involve all the different matters of the industry.

Among the many novelties of Cibus 2018, the Cibus Innovation Center is definitely one of the most important: the area will host a selection of the 100 most innovative food products. If you love regional cuisine, you will not miss the Food Court, where typical products of every Italian region will be presented.

Finally, spotlight on Cibus Off, the so-called “Fuorisalone” of taste, which has already started and that will be held until May 13 with over 50 appointments. The heart of Parma will be “invaded” by chefs and by several cooking shows, plus many local excellences in terms of food such as Parmigiano Reggiano, Culatello di Zibello, Prosciutto di Parma, mozzarella di bufala.
