International Boat Show in Fort Lauderdale: the triumph of Made in Italy

November 6, 2017

The latest International Boat Show, recently held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has witnessed the triumph of Made in Italy, according to the latest reports. The 58th salon exhibited more than 1200 boats and saw the presence of about 100,000 visitors.

The Italian brands were there thanks to a collective participation organized by Ucina Confindustria Nautica and ICE (the Agency for the Promotion and Internationalization of Italian Companies Abroad). 10 were the Italian companies involved in the exhibition: Lomac Nautica, Viraver Technology, Schenker Italia, Atep Italia, Vitrifrigo, Opacmare, Boat Lift, Aries, Canard Yachts, Ascom. But there were also several companies specialized in the nautical industry and associated with Ucina that exhibited their products and solutions: Austin Parker Yachts, CMC Marine, Gianneschi Pumps and Blowers, Monte Carlo Yachts, Overmarine, Rossinavi, Sanlorenzo, Valdenassi Emanuele Maria, Yacht Controller, ZAR Formenti.

The International Boat Show seems to have appreciated the great participation of the Italians, given that an entire area of the exposition has been dedicated to the International Boat Show of Genoa, Italy.

According to Carla Demaria, president of Montecarlo Yachts and Ucina: “A great exhibit. We have received extremely positive signals, which confirm the great aliveness of the international market we had already registered in Cannes, Genoa and Monaco. It will have significant repercussions on the Mediterranean area”.

The Italian exports to the US for recreational and sports boats exceeded 400 million euros in 2016: a +17,7% compared to 2015.
