Yummy Milan: from October 14 to 16, the Italian city is all about popular food

September 25, 2017

The sixth edition of Milano Golosa will be held from October 14 to 16 in the economic capital fo Italy, at the Ice Palace (Palazzo del Ghiaccio). A truly “yummy” occasion to taste some amazing, traditional Italian food if you happen to be in the surroundings.

In fact, defining Milano Golosa as simply “yummy” might even sound reductive, since Davide Paolini, the creator of the event, truly wanted to emphasize the popular soul of Italian gastronomy, by recovering the spirit and raw materials that have made the country’s food so famous.

Milano Golosa will welcome over 200 artisans of taste from all over Italy, each one with their own specialty: from regional dishes to sandwiches, to traditional recipes from old trattorias. In order to enhance the heritage of truly popular Italian food, nine chefs from the Premiate Trattorie Italiane will operate in a dedicated area by creating the most characteristic dishes of their region. Sandwiches lovers, on the other hand, will love Paniniamo, a true homage to Italian stuffed Panini by Fondazione Accademia del Panino Italiano.

If you happen to visit Milan in October, remember that this is the perfect occasion for an eno-gastronomic tour throughout the country without even leaving the city.

Davide Paolini explains: “For the sixth edition of Milano Golosa we wanted to pay tribute to two great Italian loves: the trattorie and the sandwiches. I’ve always been in love with what I consider a true cuisine, that of convivial places and simple recipes, but done well. Whether it is a dish or a sandwich, I have always supported and I will always support the local products that loom the raw materials and the local territory”.
