Located in the canton of Valais in Switzerland, about 1,500 meters high above the sea level, Verbier is a ski area of outstanding beauty, ideal for those who love mountain and winter sports.

Verbier is part of the famous ski resort of Les 4 Vallées, ie the 4 valleys: it includes Nendaz, Veysonnaz, Thyon and La Tzoumaz, all of which are well connected with each other via cable cars and lifts. The four valleys cover a total of 410 km marked runs, with slopes ranging from Verbier’s 1,500 meters up to the 3,300 meters of Mont Fort. It is no coincidence that this area is often chosen to host worldwide competitions and championships.

Verbier alone offers its tourists a total of 200 kilometers of ski slopes and it has the best facilities within the whole 4 valleys’ area. Thanks to the great variety and quantity of said slopes, you can practice all types of skiing, such as off-piste and cross country skiing, but also freeride and mountaineering. In addition, the district also has 10 km of tracks reserved to snowboard enthusiasts and those who want to have fun with toboggans.

However, Verbier is not just a place reserved exclusively to skiers. Even hikers and cyclists or people who love to take long walks, will find great pleasure in this place. Thanks to the 400 km of nature trails and 200 km of mountain bike circuits, Verbier is able to satisfy every need.

If you plan to spend more days in this mountain paradise, it is also highly recommended to visit the surroundings. In particular, the town of Martigny is just 10 km away from Verbier and it offers everything you could ask for in a resort. In addition to the breathtaking scenery, Martigny is rich in history and culture, but it also offers lots of entertainment venues and shopping facilities. In the surrounding area, you can then find the fascinating and vertiginous gorges of Durnard, or the imposing mountain of the Great St. Bernard Pass.

Moreover, if you love music, just know that the area is home to numerous and impressive concerts of various kinds, which are held outdoors among the alpine valleys. Verbier hosts the Verbier Festival, a festival entirely dedicated to music in its various genres, such as opera, classical, symphonic and chamber.

Located about 300 km from Milan, Verbier is accessible by car through the Great St. Bernard Tunnel, then proceeding along the E47 highwa
