This area, where Villa Mist is located, is now most well-known for its wine and cheese production: this is the cradle of the famous Brunello di Montalcino wine and home to pecorino toscano cheese of Pienza. Wine cellars keeping the invaluable oak and chestnut casks in which the renowned Brunello di Montalcino ages are all around.
Pienza is a must, not only for cheese lovers: it was declared “Heritage of Mankind” by Unesco and is considered to be the “symbol city” of the Italian Renaissance.
