Immersed in the sunny coastal landscape of Salento, surrounded by the green of the olive trees, Villa Tara is the home that best represents the beauty of the Apulian countryside.
This characteristic house takes the form of eleven ancient trulli, the very special conical dry-stone buildings that have become a world heritage site. The trulli, originally peasant structures, have become the most famous Apulian dwellings in the world thanks to their original shape and peculiar masonry that guarantees excellent heat insulation.
Villa Tara stands in all its original beauty amidst the vast Salento countryside and the blue Adriatic Sea, offering its guests an oasis of delight among centuries-old olive trees, almond, fig, plum and walnut trees. The main house of the villa consists of an old Mediterranean maquis surrounded by more than 800 trees.
It is a quiet, luxurious and characteristic residence, completely renovated by a recent renovation in 2011.
Villa Tara's location is another undeniable advantage: the elegant estate is just a short distance from Ostuni and Alberobello, two of Puglia's most picturesque towns that exude the evocative charm of timeless villages.
The interior of the villa is furnished in a modern style, with high-profile furniture and a touch of class. On both sides of the house are stone courtyards, which are used as large open-air lounges furnished with tables, umbrellas, chaises longues and sofas.
Outside Villa Tara there is also a spectacular swimming pool decorated in cobalt blue mosaic, which reflects the pyramidal construction of the trulli with a striking scenic effect of arabesque hues.
The structure of the main house consists of 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and large living rooms. The property can accommodate up to 8 guests, and is recommended for 6 adults and 2 children/teens.
The villa is located in the open countryside, but is not lacking in the latest technology: it is equipped with Wi-Fi connection, stereo systems and flat-screen satellite televisions included in each living room. The best way to enjoy the beauty of Villa Tara is to take advantage of its 13 thousand hectares of garden that fade into the blue sea on the horizon.
The property's park is equipped with everything you need to spend unforgettable days in the open air: there is a large swimming pool surrounded by 12 deckchairs and umbrellas, a large gazebo equipped with BBQ grill, piano bar and cooler. There are also ping pong tables where you can enjoy a match with friends.
To fully experience the territory of Apulia, linked to ancient traditions and to the most primitive and wild beauty, it is necessary to totally immerse oneself in it.
Villa Tara is the ideal luxury residence for discovering the wonders of Salento, the southernmost tip of the “heel” of Italy, washed by two seas, the Adriatic to the east and the Ionian to the west.
