Regata Storica 2013 in Venice: program of the event

The Regata Storica of Venice is one of the most important events that take place every year in the Venetian lagoon. Even in 2013, the first Sunday in September, dozens of traditional boats will parade, followed by four historic rowing competitions of Voga alla Veneta.

As every year, the famous parade will open the event with a pageant of multi-colored boats and gondoliers in costumes, that will transport the Doge and all the highest offices of the Venetian '500 in a faithful reconstruction of the glorious past of the Maritime Republic. The historical and sport water pageant that crosses Canal Grande will be held at 16:00 on September 1, 2013, followed by the four competitions, with separate categories for age and type of boat.

The most acclaimed race is certainly the gondolini regatta, rowed by the champions which Venice knows and admires. This race sees his goal in front of the famous "machina", the spectacular floating stage located in face of the palace of Ca 'Foscari.

These are the times of the races that will be held Sunday, September 1, 2013 in Venice for the Regata Storica:

5:20 PM Women twin-oared mascarete regatta
5:50 PM Six-oared caorline regatta
