Salone del Mobile 2014: the date, exhibitors and tickets of the 53th edition
March 14, 2014Great expectations in Milan for the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2014, now in its 53th edition, scheduled from 8 to 13 April at the pavilions of the Fiera di Rho, an exhibition area of over 340,000 square meters. The show, along with the side events EuroCucina (International Kitchen Furniture Exhibition), International Bathroom Exhibition and SaloneSatellite, will bring in Milan all the innovations on furniture with about 2’400 Italian and international exhibitors. At least 300’000 visitors from all over the world are expected for what many call a dress rehearsal ahead of Expo 2015.
Top-notch brands are obviously expected with tantalizing new features such as Hastens, Kvadrat, Iittala and Tom Dixon, while for the fashion industry world-renowned exhibitors will arrive in force, such as Ferré, Ungaro and Pierre Cardin that will make the already wide range of goods even richer. They will return to exhibit also significant names like Flötotto, Gebr. Thonet, SCP, Treca and Wittmann.
As every year, the Salone del Mobile 2014 will be supported by the event FuoriSalone, or Design Week, the most important exhibition in the world related to the topic of design, with events of great charm and originality, that will animate the entire city of Milan, and in particular the areas of Brera and Via Tortona.
During the week of the Salone del Mobile and FuoriSalone, there will be a range of discounts and special offers for visitors to both exhibitions, which among other things can enter for free in major museums such as the Museo del Novecento in Milan, the Archaeological Museum, the Museum of Natural History, the Museum of the Castello Sforzesco and many others. There is also an agreement between the Salone del Mobile, Fiera Milano and ATM through which visitors to the show will benefit from an integrated ticket, which is valid both for transport and for admission to the expo. Finally, remember that the Salone del Mobile 2014 is reserved for operators in the sector. The opening to the public is permitted only on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 of April from 9:30AM to 6:30PM. The entrance ticket costs € 30 if purchased at the fair or € 20 if purchased online. There are subscriptions and discounts for groups and students.
