Skiing in Ponte di Legno and Passo del Tonale

Ponte di Legno and Passo del Tonale, two of the three locations of the Adamello Ski Area, along with Temù, are undoubtedly among the best ski resorts in Lombardy. Passo del Tonale is also the one with the best lift facilities. Whether you life downhill or cross-country skiing in the Adamello Ski Area you can find what you need.

Ponte di Legno is the nerve center of the Adamello Ski, mainly for its central position between Temù and Passo del Tonale, and secondly due to the fastest cablecar which connects this village to themuch larger ski resort of Passo del Tonale.

In Ponte di Legno, there are 4 chairlifts, one four-automatic coupling, and a ski lift, which allow you to ski between 1250 and 2150 meters above sea level amidst beautiful pine forests.

For ski lovers, even in summer, there's nothing better than Passo del Tonale. Its slopes in perfect condition, thanks also to the powerful system of artificial snow, make it possible to ski almost all year round.

The lift facilities count many modern chairlifts for 4 to 6 persons, covered with automatic coupling, and a double chairlift and two anchors that take skiers from Passo Paradiso to Presena glacier. Expert skiers shouldn't miss one of the most famous slopes of the Alps, the difficult slope Paradiso, as well as the slope Aplino or a downhill from Passo dei Contrabbandieri.

Cross-country skiers will find 9 kilometers of slopes in an uncontaminated nature in Ponte di Legno, and other 30 km in the nearby Centro Fondo of Vermiglio, where they can use the SuperNordicSkipass, one skypass only that allows them to access to the main italian cross-country facilities. In Passo del Tonale, however, you can cross-country skiing for 5 km in Piana Tonale and for 30 km in the Volpaia-Velon and Stavel in Vermiglio, between the Stelvio National Park and Adamello Brenta.
